Eligibility criteria

  • Educational qualification: Class 10 (Matriculation) passed with minimum 50% aggregate marks (relaxed for SC/ST candidates), along with a National/State Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade from NCVT/SCVT. For Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology/Radiology) trades, candidates need Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, minimum 50% marks in both 10th and 12th.
  • Age limit: 15 to 24 years as on the notified date, with age relaxation for reserved categories as per government norms.

Stipend rates are as per the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship notification (G.S.R. 610(E) dated 03-09-2025, RBE No. 116/2025) and are subject to revision from time to time as notified by the appropriate authority. No other allowances (HRA, DA, etc.) are applicable to apprentices, as this is a training engagement and not a regular railway job.
