Eligibility criteria

• Educational qualification: BE/B.Tech (or equivalent) in the relevant Engineering discipline for Engineer posts; M.Sc/M.Tech in Geology for Geologist posts, from a recognized university/institute. GATE score is not required for this recruitment.

Selection process & exam pattern

1. Computer Based Test (CBT): Tentatively scheduled for 6 September 2026, conducted across 19 cities nationwide. No negative marking.
2. Personal Interview for candidates shortlisted from the CBT.
3. Medical Fitness Test as per ONGC's prescribed medical standards.

Final merit is calculated as CBT (85% weightage) + Interview (15% weightage).
